Carrick Historic Walk

Learn the story of Carrick’s past as we walk through the village, visit local craft spots, and explore riverside and road routes at a relaxed pace. 


Cnoc Unna Walk

🕒 2–2.5 hours | 🚶 8 km | 💶 Price on request
A scenic loop walk from Carrick Car Park to the summit of Cnoc Unna with historical insights and spectacular views. Photos from a walk I did in January HERE
Moderate walk, waterproof shoes recommended.


Sliabh Liag Walk

🕒 4–5 hours | 🚶 12–15 km | 💶 Price depends on route and number of participants
Walk from Bunglas to the top of Sliabh Liag, across the "One mans Pass" and return via the Pilgrim’s Path. Visiting some magical locations on the route. Photos from our August walk HERE
Walking boots and appropriate clothing required. Bring packed lunch and fluids
Start at the Visitor Centre and get the bus to Bunglas. 


Port to Glenlough Walk

🕒 4–5 hours | 🚶 10–11 km | 💶 Price depends on route and number of participants

Walk from Port in Glencolmcille to the beautiful Glenlough bay, visit the ruins of the farm where Rockwell Kent and Dylan Thomas stayed in the 1920s and 1930s. Stunning costal views on route. Photos from our walk there in August HERE

Walking boots and appropriate clothing required, hill walking sticks advisable. Bring packed lunch and fluids
Start at Port Carpark.


Turas Glencolmcille Walk

🕒 3–3.5 hours | 🚶 7 km | 💶 on request
Step back in time on the Turas Glencolmcille, a historic pilgrimage route that dates back over 1,500 years. Follow in the footsteps of generations who have walked this sacred path, visiting the ancient stone stations and learning about the traditions, saints, and stories connected to the area.

The walk offers stunning views across the valley and coastline, blending heritage, spirituality, and natural beauty in one unforgettable experience.

Walking shoes or boots recommended.
